Event 1: Launch of Wellness Warriors

This is where we decided on the layout of the Wellness Warriors initiative and planned out our events for the upcoming weeks.

Event 2: Social Media Campaign

Social Media Posts

To educate more people about the elements of mental health, we set up a social media campaign to maximize outreach. (2023- Present)

Event 3: Mental Health Awareness Ribbon Hand-Out

 

We had set up a stand to distribute mental health awareness ribbons in our school, with our initiative spreading across our local community.

- Held an in-school campaign event that provided Mental Health information to 800+ students & provided 1000+ mental health ribbons 

Event 4: Upper Uwchlan Block Party

 
Upper Uwchlan Block Party: 800+ people educated on mental health information, Handed out 250+ brochures about mental health, 200+ Mental Health Ribbons Distributed, 16,000+ interactions/views 

Event 5: Capitol Building Visit

During our visit to the capitol building we handed out legislation in regards to creating a standardized mental health education curriculum in high schools all across PA. We were able to hand out and lobby for our legislation to 65+ PA Representatives, 5 Senators, the Lieutenant Governor's staff, and the Governor's staff. We were also fortunate enough to have a meeting with Representative Parker and Representative Smith to discuss the importance of mental health education within the Commonwealth along with the feasibility of our bill.

Event 6: Zoom Meetings

During our visit to the capitol building we were able to schedule meetings with many PA Representatives along with their staff & other stakeholder organizations.

Uwchlan Township Community Day: 700+ people educated on mental health information, Handed out 200+ brochures about mental health, Talked to Representative Otten about our mental health education bill

Event 8: Children’s Mental Health Forum (Hosted by Rep. Borowski)

Thank you to Rep. Borowski for inviting us to speak at this event, and showcase our organization's mission along with its current initiatives. Additionally, during this event we were able to learn more about the mental health resources in our local area, along with new initiatives that are currently taking place.

Event 9: Penn Medicine & Young Chances Foundation:

The Huddle: Men's Mental Health Conversation

Thank you to Penn Medicine & the Young Chances Foundation for inviting us to the "The Huddle." At the event we were able inform 500+ people about mental health, along with advocating for the importance of men's mental health. Additionally, we enjoyed listening to the 5 five panelists and their mental health journey: Julius Erving (76ers Legend), Brian Westbrook (Former Eagles Running Back), Rodney Babb (Penn Medicine Trauma Recovery Specialist), and Tyrique Glasgow (Founder of YCF), Ishan Hines (Founder of My Brother Keeper's Care).
